111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency

Please contact the surgery during working hours.
If the surgery is closed, the call will be directed to the Out of Hours Service.  You will need to give the following details:

– Patient’s name, address & date of birth
– Details of the emergency
– A telephone number where you can be contacted
– Where the patient is to be seen
– Your doctor’s name 

You may be given a telephone triage or asked to attend a surgery.
Home visits are at the doctor’s discretion. NHS North Kirklees CCG is responsible for this service.

Walk-in Centre

You may wish to attend the local “Walk-in” Centre at:  Dewsbury District Hospital.

Please only contact Out-of-hours services if it is a genuine emergency and can not wait till the sugery re-opens.
