When We’re Closed

For emergencies arising at any time, please telephone the surgery number.  If the surgery is closed, the telephone call will be directed to our Out of Hours Service.  You will need to give the following details:

  • Patient’s name, address & date of birth
  • Details of the emergency
  • A telephone number where you can be contacted
  • Where the patient is to be seen
  • Your doctor’s name

At times a deputising doctor may take the call.  You may be given telephone advice or asked to attend an emergency surgery.Home visits are at the doctor’s discretion. NHS North Kirklees CCG is responsible for this service.

Walk-in Centre

You may wish to attend the local “Walk-in” Centre at:  Dewsbury District Hospital.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
